Key Research Directions

 

The major direction of technological research and development of our institute is on the projects that will influence the gold industry in a long run, to provide technical guarantee for the industry and the stratagic development of China Gold Group. Ever since the founding of the institute, we have done large amount of important, common and key researches for the industry, taking the problems occurring in the production process of the gold mining enterprises as our purposes of technical development. The technology development covers 21 specialties in geology, mining, mineral processing and metallurgy, environment protection, and test assay.

 

Our institute has undertaken and completed large amount of national scientific research projects. At present, our institute is undertaking the projects under the national science and technology support plan “Research on the Key Technology of Microwave Metallurgy”, “Research on Liquid Membrane --- Membrane Electrowinning Gold Extraction and Relevant Equipment ”, and “Research on Integrated Technology of Safe and Effective Mining of Weak and Broken Deposit ”. During the period of the “Tenth Five Year Plan”, we undertook the natinal key scientific and technological projects: “Fluid Bed Roasting Process for the refractory gold ore in Qianxinan Gold Mine”. “Research on Bacteria Oxidation --- Thiourea Resin-in-pulp Cyanide Free Gold Extraction Technology”.

 

 

In 2004 we completed a research on “the boundary effect and its reinforcement of the slurry in bio-preoxidation of refractory gold concentrate, a sub-project of “Basic Research on Microbial Metallurgy “ which was under the “973 Progrmme” by the National Science and Technology Ministry

 

In 2003 we finished a special fund project of technological development research for national institutes “Research on the New Technique of Treatment of Cyanide-containing Tailing Pulp by Ozone Oxidation”,and in 2004 we carried out the special fund project of research for national institutes, “Bio-oxidation Heap Leaching --- a cyanide-free gold extraction technique”. In 2005, we conducted the special fund project of research for national institutes, “Research on the New Technique of the Integrated Treatment of Cyanide-containing Tailing Using Oxidizing Solution ”, and in 2006 we completed the special fund project of research for national scientific institutes, “Research on the New Integrated Treatment and Recovery of Oxide Solution”.

 

Besides the national projects, our institute also does pioneering researches for the gold industry and China Gold Group, at the same time we are also responsible for the research work on the existing technical and engineering problems for the gold industry and China Gold Group.
