Brief Introduction to Changchun Gold Research Institute

 

Changchun Gold Research Institute was founded in 1958, which is the only national level scientific research organization specialized in the research of basic theory on gold industry and engineering technology development. At the same time, the Technology Center of China National Gold Group Corporation, National Monitoring Inspection Center for Gold, Silver and Their Products, and China Gold Environment Monitoring Center are affiliated with Changchun Gold Research Institute; “Gold Magazine” is also set up in this institute.

 

With the development of Chinese gold industry, our institute has already formed an integrated research and development system with complete scientific research organizations and advanced technical facilities. We have a high qualification, high standard technical team strong in scientific research, product development, technique design, project management and production management.

 

During the course of all the important technical upgrades of the gold industry, our institute provided various technical supports, such as the application of mechanical resuing method for narrow vein mining; introduction and application of whole-slurry cyanidation and CIP process; the development of the technology of gold extraction from sulphate calcine; research on gold extraction by the process of bio-oxidation and cyanidation; technology of gold recovery from wastewater in tailings; development of integrated ulilization of refractory gold resources and old tailings, and so on.

In areas of mineral processing and metallurgy, besides providing the mines with regular technological minerology research, mineral processing test, process of precious metals extraction, gold refinery and purifying, we can also provide comprehensive technical services and technical consultation in design, industrial and technical regulation, and commissioning for mineral processing plant. Especially in the aspects of gold extraction from refractory ores with highier arsenic content, highier sulphur content , and containg carbon and impurities, our institute possesses rich experiences and advanced technical means.

 

In environment protection, we have the patented technologies of peroxyll oxidization method and two step precipitation process for further treatment of waste water with high content of cyanide and we also have rich experiences in the pollution treatment of cyanide-containing tailings pulp, arsenic-containing wastewater and nitrogen oxides containing waste gas.

 

In mining, our institute has very strong technical superiorities for the mining of narrow and extremely narrow veins, as well as high efficiency mining of thick orebodies, the control of stope roof for broken mine as well as maintenance of broken roof for inclined and steeply inclined orebodies, backfilling system, rock mass reinforcement technology, ventilation and dust control and deep shaft cooling technology.

 

The bio-oxidation technology is our newly developed proceesing technology, which is at the advanced level of the world standard. We have separated, cultivated and acclimatized many kinds of mixed bacterium that are widely used with high oxidation efficiency. Applying this technology, our institute undertook the National Demonstrating Project for high-tech industrialization --- the design and construction of Liaoning Tianli 100 tons/day Biological Oxidation Plant, this oxidation plant was tested, designed, and constructed by our institute alone and we independently own the intellectual property for it.
